Raven Stillness I'm an author & former journalist, who worked with Doctors Without Borders in Social Rehab w/ trauma survivors in the Middle East and E. Europe. I have a Masters from UC Berkeley and lived in the Middle East for close to a decade, but came back to SF when my first publication was accepted in 2006.

Honesty is by far the most important virtue to me. I worked in and out of war torn areas and felt more comfortable there than I ever do in this bizarre world of luxury & ignorance. The death of a long term partner in '04, together with growing up in the foster system, so maybe this is just something I came into a need for when others didn't.

~~More than anything, I'm looking for someone who's serious, submissive, fairly misanthropic & extremely open in regards to lifestyle differences.

For the most part, I'm past the bar scene but nothing will ever pull me away from a good show. I love the moon, hate the sun, prefer Greenland to the beach~regardless of where though, I tend to spend considerable time with the clinicians I work with. I'm from a reservation but I'm only half Native American. I speak Arabic, Hebrew, French, Spanish. It's fairly irrelevant, but I've lived in Lebanon, Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, Kosova, London, Australia, New Zealand, & Canada (Nunavut & Vancouver.)

Foreign transplants here or those I meet abroad attract me most b/c they're less than shielded from the reality of the real world. And even though it's superficial, I have a penchant for the slim, quiet, loner~who may be in despair w/ the world but also unable to resist their place in my arms.
