As a tiny "Goth" girl i've come across plenty of men. I've had plenty of things peirced & I love my black lipstick & silver nail polish, But I have a problem.

In my search for a soulmate I came across an older man. He's intelligent, He's already set in life (Meaning i don't have to take care of him like the last one >_<) & His vibrant blue eyes set my Lust into overdrive but..

I Love my peircings (Lip ring, eyebrow bar, nipple rings, belly button bar & small ear gauges) & they creep him out. He cringes when he sees a picture of me where my lip ring is in, & he especialy disdains my eyebrow peircing.. Hes not to ofond of my purple hair or my goth clothing, But he cares about me (he's the only one) & even let me stay with him for a whole week when my friend ditched me in the middle of california..

Should I give up the perfect man or my beloved Goth & Metal?

Sticks & Stones will your bones & I'll gouge out your eyeballs.. O_o

`You shouldn't give up who you are, for anyone. If someone cares about you, or loves you, they will love you no matter how you dress/who you are. Thats the whole point. Don't change who you are for someone else, find someone who likes (and loves) you for you.

`I cannot tell you what you should or shouldn't do. It is your decision how to handle your relationship and yourself. I believe no matter what, people should be themselves. If someone couldn't accept me the way I was, I don't think I would change who I am as a person or what I like for them. There are particular exceptions, but this should be rare. I think he needs to except you the way you are, even if parts of you "make him cringe". I just read this post now, and I'm not sure how your relationship status is now that I have replied to it. Nonetheless, I hope you feel whatever decision you made was the right one for YOU, no one else.
