Come on, Gothic Music forum and there's only ONE Goth artist being mentioned? Howsabout we take a moment out of our days and talk about something like, say... I don't know... Gothic Music?
What's everyone's favorite contemporary band?
I'm on the fence with Fangs On Fur and New Thrill Parade.

`Too hard to pick a favorite band! The Sisters are pretty good, I'm also partial to X-Mal Deutchland.

`When it comes to gothic music (if you include darkwave, deathrock etc) my favourite groups are London After Midnight, Suspiria, and the legendary Radio Werewolf.

But of course, I enjoy the classics like Christian Death, Bauhaus, The Sisters of Mercy...and many others.

As far as something recent, I really enjoyed Soror Dolorosa's EP "Severance." A real highlight from last year, and the song "Beau Suicide" is utterly fantastic.

`My favorite darkwave ("gothic") act is still Fields of the Nephilim. It's true that the stuff Carl's doing these days is nowhere near as great as the classic albums. The old stuff was groundbreaking in the level of musicianship that went into they're layered sound. Elizium is easily on my top 5 albums of all time.
Faith & the Muse is also a wonderful project that seems to continually progress into newer and more interesting territory. Monica's voice is truly magical. If you haven't checked out the new :Ankoku Butoh: album/dvd, than you MUST DO THIS. William Faith, if you don't know, was old bandmates with Rozz Williams.
I also think that Red Lorry Yellow Lorry was a criminally underrated band.
