goodness me, but this site is full of unadventurous men! I've sent messages to several guys on here who profess to be not shallow...but can't be bothered to respond thus showing themselves to be...well...SHALLOW!

C'mon you guys...make more of an effort, when a lovely lady contacts you!!

Hope all is well with you, and welcome to this site...

Your comment on my profile is the first I've heard from you. I can't speak for the rest of the men who are members on this particular passions site, meaning gothpassions, but I don't think you can judge their sense of adventure, or lack thereof, without actually knowing them. Otherwise you might be thought of as a bit...well, shallow.

Secondly, not receiving a reply from people doesn't necessarily indicate shallowness either. To jump to such conclusions however, is hasty at best and..perhaps shallow at worst.

However, I can understand your disappointment in not receiving replies or attention...but until you hear from someone you won't know their reason for certain. And yes, I'm with you as far as it being good manners to respond, even if one isn't interested in the same things or whatever.

Speaking for myself, for a while I used to be here everyday almost, but do not visit as often now. Hence a response from me might take longer or, if I judge something to be completely outside of my interest (such as spammers and the like) or a complete waste of my time (spammers again), I reserve the right not to respond...in some situations on here in fact, I've found that to be the best policy even.

There are further possible reasons too...and I'm certain that every other individual on here has further reasons as to why they may choose not to respond. It would be good if we could always get a response...but unfortunately that doesn't happen. I'm sure both men and women have experienced this on here. It's mostly about individuals anyway, not so much about males or females.

Who knows, some of the goths may indeed be shy...I know I can be. Luckily I've got a girlfriend who might cure me of that.../smiles. Be well...and if you don't hear from me again...well, it's most likely cause I'm out and about, or too busy with other things to check in at passions...I'm just not on here as actively as I used to be.

`the person i was referring to had actually posted quite a rant about how people were viewing his profile, but not bothering to contact him. so i contacted him to say hi, thinking he'd reply coz he'd made such a song n dance about people looking at his page etc etc and not making contact...that i was rather shocked he didn't bother replying. Or maybe he's now left the site, i dunno...but yes, it doesn't take much to just send a message saying thanks or no thanks. But i think in general, on most dating sites, men's expectations are far higher than women's. And they're always looking for 'model' types...lol.
