I sat in a corner lit by darkness,
Staring deeply into a cushioned wall,
Next to a corpse who claimed to be heartless,
Whispering of screams heard throughout the halls.
He looked to my hands, taking out his bow,
"Do you like music," he whispered with charm,
Then played a tune so macabre and low,
For the strings were tendons of his own arm.
I then saw a story held by his song,
Calling me dearly to wither and cry,
For it was of a love passed of so long.
A love amongst loves that I left to die.
Here I now sat lost forever in mind,
Only to hear this song of a darkness,
Of a love that I should nevermore find,
Played by a corpse who claimed to be heartless.
